An exciting opportunity has opened up for a senior registered practitioner to join our Mental health street triage team.

 

The Mental Health Street Triage service resulted from collaboration between Bedfordshire Police and East London NHS Foundation trust. It is aimed at providing an all-inclusive service to people who may be experiencing mental ill health and come into contact with the police. The MHST are committed to provide a high quality, professional and effective range of appropriate interventions with all people that they come into contact with as part of this role.

 

The post holder will be a Senior mental health professional who will work closely with Bedfordshire Police officers. They will be expected to be able to offer comprehensive assessments of clients mental health needs and devise effective treatment/management plans. Whenever appropriate, they will also assist Bedfordshire Police with information gathering of relevant details pertaining to clients who are already known to a local mental health team. Further, they are expected to be able to provide specialist advice to the police, clients and carers regarding existing pathways to access mental health care, both via statutory and non-statutory agencies.

 

This is service operates 7 days a week and the working hours for this post are 12pm till 12midnight daily.
