Are you excited about the possibility of being part of a maternity team committed to providing excellent care to women and their families?

An exciting opportunity for Band 3 Maternity support workers to work within the maternity services in the Community is now available.

The posts will be permanent and Full time and Part time posts are available.

2 whole time equivalent post and 1 part time post to support Community Midwife teams in the City of Leicester.

We are looking for candidates that demonstrate our trust values, that will enable caring at its best.

You must already have completed your Care certificate, have a good standard of education in relation to English and Numeracy and have previous experience in a Healthcare/Maternity assistant role within the last 5 years

You must have a relevant level Senior Support worker level qualification.

You must be motivated and enthusiastic to extend the maternity care assistant role to enable you to support midwives with enhanced clinical competencies such as Venepucture, Cannulation, Neonatal examinations, infant feeding advice/support and health promotion, antenatal classes.

You will be given the necessary training to perform these tasks and they must be completed within 6 months of commencement in the post.

PLEASE NOTE

Candidates will only be shortlisted:

  • If there is evidence of a Level 3 (NVQ) course in a health care related subject.
  • Demonstrate that you have English and Maths GCSE grade C or above or equivalent, on your application form, certificates will be required.
  • Have experience of working in a healthcare environment within the last 5 years.
  • Currently have the Care Certificate.
