Are you interested in developing your Occupational Therapy skills across a variety of specialities?

There is an opportunity to join the Occupational Therapy Junior rotation which provides experience cross Acute Medicine (Respiratory and Rehabilitation), Orthopaedics, Neurology Team (Acute, Rehabilitation and Early Supported Discharge) and in the Health and Social Care Teams based in Ilfracombe, Barnstaple and Bideford.

Each rotation is for six months.

This will provide an opportunity to work with an integrated team of therapists across Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. Recent developments in the rotations are opportunities to work across Health and Social Care and to work on the new refurbished Stroke Ward providing experience across Acute and Rehabilitaion.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have sound core Occupational Therapy skills, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards team working.

This post is suitable for :

Students who are in their final year of training to be an Occupational Therapist.

Return to practice - This would role would enable you to complete your return to work training so you can re register as an Occupational Therapist.

If you have been qualified for a while and are looking to broaden your experience.

This post will enable you to consolidate and build on graduate skills and academic knowledge by participating in Continual Professional Development and other training opportunities. The post holder will receive regular clinical supervision and participate in a preceptorship programme. This also includes the opportunity to attend the Trust’s biannual OT Professional Forum which involves Occupational Therapists from across acute, community. social care, mental health, learning disability, outpatient and paediatric services, coming together to network, learn and share best practise

The post holder will be expected to work occasionally at the weekends.
