LEARNING DISABILITIES TEAM – EVESHAM COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

 

LD SPECIALIST EPILEPSY NURSE

BAND 6/7 – POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENT POST

37.5 Hours per week

£38,890-£44,503 per annum (Band 7)

£31,365-£37.890 per annum (Band 6)

 

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for either a band 7 Epilepsy nurse or a band 6 development LD Epilepsy nurse to join the Complex Neurology & Rehabilitation Service in Worcestershire.  This will be dependent on experience.

 

We are looking for a nurse experienced in neurology and epilepsy management, who is motivated and passionate about the care of patients with epilepsy and their families. The successful candidate will be required to work independently in providing education and information, advice and support to patients in their own home and within clinics. You will also be required to liaise and work closely with other health care professionals in ensuring that patient care needs are met accordingly and that care is delivered to a high standard.

 

The role with involve working closely with the community learning disability teams and the consultant neurologists. There will be joint medical and nurse clinics as well as running nurse led clinics.

 

For the band 7 post, you will need to be a non-medical prescriber.

 

For the band 6 development post, you will be required to commit to work towards the V300 non-medical prescribing qualification on starting the post.  This will support the development into a band 7 position on completion.

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
