Southern Health is one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health, adult and child community health and learning disabilities.


We are seeking to offer a unique apprenticeship to someone who would like to work in a busy and dynamic team dedicated to making Southern Health a better place to work. This is an opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification at the same time working at the very heart of developing our people across our Trust. Whilst the role is based at our HQ, Tatchbury set within the New Forest, the successful candidate will in reality work primarily from their home during the foreseeable future. The successful candidate will have their own portfolio of work which will include supporting the Trusts high profile staff recognition schemes, providing the administration for our psychometric toolkit and 360 process. In addition to this they will support the administration of all our work streams including Leadership and Management, Team Development Staff Engagement and Coaching and Health and Wellbeing. The role will involve liaising with staff across the organisation face to face and virtually, diary management, maintaining our course databases, creating and distribution of publicity material and supporting the whole team administratively as required. You will be supported in your role by a friendly administrative team and tutors associated with our NVQ provider.

A DBS check is required by the Employer for this post. The Employer will undertake an initial check at the appropriate level on appointment. As a condition of employment you are required to register with the online DBS update service and maintain this registration throughout employment; costs associated with this will be reimbursed, subject to taxation in line with guidance from HMRC. You will comply with all Employer processes in order to provide yearly permission to the Employer enabling it to view your status and to undertake random checks as required. If you change to a role where a check would no longer be required this will be confirmed and you may end your membership if desired.
