Then take a step towards LPT...

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

At 360 Assurance we believe in the NHS and strive to enhance value in the NHS by supporting our clients to achieve their objectives and patient outcomes through improvement of their systems of governance, risk management and control.

We do this by providing a range of high-quality professional services covering all the essential assurance requirements of our clients.

We are looking for a dynamic, versatile and self-motivated experienced nurse, midwife or AHP to become a senior member of the internal audit and independent assurance team, in the role of Clinical Quality Manager (Specialist Assurance). We would particularly welcome applications from mental health or learning disability nurses who have held a management position (either as a ward/team manager or a lead nurse for a particularly topic).

The role will see you using your extensive clinical knowledge and experience in a different way to influence patient care – primarily by providing independent assurance and advice to clients about their clinical systems and processes, leading to quality improvement. Applicants with enthusiasm, drive and a willingness to challenge a changing NHS environment are invited to apply or contact us for a further discussion.

As part of the role you will regularly liaise with Executives and senior managers from NHS organisations as part of your role, as well as present information and reports to groups and senior committees so excellent communication skills and confidence presenting are essential.

You will have already worked in a leadership and managerial role and therefore been involved in governance structures and risk management but this role will see you develop an advanced understanding and set of skills in relation to governance, risk management and control, which will be invaluable in your future career progression.

You will be required to undertake complex analysis and produce high quality output in the form of reports and visual presentation of information, so experience in these areas is essential.

You will be able to demonstrate your innovative and creative abilities through the development of new services to support clients, based on your particular background, expertise and skills. This post therefore has the flexibility to develop and evolve in different directions, making it great for someone who wants to shape their future career.

Experience of systematic quality improvement and/or rigorous audit and assurance processes is required, although further training on the specifics of internal audit will be provided if necessary.

You need the ability and determination to learn new skills quickly but will be rewarded with flexible working arrangements, a supportive team, significant training and development and generous NHS terms and conditions. Every day is different and variety is one of the aspects people find most rewarding about their jobs at 360 Assurance.

In addition to the full Job Description and Person Specification we have attached a Summary Job Description to give a brief overview of the main elements of the role.

The post holder will be nominally based at our Oak House office (Rotherham) but travel will be expected across the client base to undertake reviews and therefore a driving licence and car availability are essential. This post will require a DBS check.

Should you wish to discuss this post please contact Elaine Dower (Assistant Director – Specialist Assurance: Clinical Quality) on 07342 081522.

We are committed to providing the best care that we can to our patients, and so some of our roles involve a Maths and English assessment. Where this is so, details will be shared with you as part of the recruitment process.

Details of our benefits, pledge and other important information about the application process, and working for us is contained in the documents linked to our advert.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

To make the most of your application, we may consider successful applicants for vacancies for the same post in different locations where this is appropriate and meets our mutual requirements.

For all substantive roles the appointment of every new member of staff (excluding medical and dental staff) to a post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, details of which are in our Probation Policy.

We aim to develop a workforce that reflects our service users. To this end we actively implement equal opportunities in employment and service delivery and seek people who share our commitment. We strongly encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly from underrepresented groups, including members of our black and minority ethnic communities. All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.

For all jobs the cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure at the required level will be met by the individual. This will be deducted from salary following commencement.

Requests from applicants to work alternative hours to those advertised may be considered.

Applicants who are currently ‘at risk’ within the local NHS, and meeting essential criteria will be given preference for interview over any other candidates who may apply for this post.
