Do you want to acquire administrative skills and be supported to gain a widely recognised qualification, whilst also obtaining valuable work experience?

 

As an apprentice for the Executive Services and Governance Team at East Midlands Ambulance Service, you will develop a variety of transferable business administration skills that will help you further your career. The team provides a wide range of support to the Trust Board and Executive Team in functions such as making sure our policies and procedures are up to date, taking minutes and producing agendas and reports for meetings, as well as managing diaries, booking meetings and venues and dealing with legal claims.

 

In this apprenticeship you will be working towards a Level 2 Business Administration qualification. Some of the responsibilities you will have in this role include:

  • Opening the post and entering details onto a spreadsheet before distributing to the relevant person
  • Reception duties including answering the telephone and greeting visitors
  • Printing, scanning and photocopying
  • Booking meeting rooms and venues
  • Travel and Accommodation bookings
  • Monitoring and updating databases

 

The successful applicant will have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade D or above, or equivalent.

 

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will help us excel in the service and care given to patients.

You may be required to complete a DBS clearance check if offered a position with EMAS. If you are not part of the update service, you will be liable for the payment and this will be deducted from your first months’ salary. The current cost of an enhanced DBS check is £47.
