We are looking to expand our large and friendly Advanced clinical practitioner team. We've a mixture of nurses, paramedics and physiotherapists. we have vacancies for trainees Paediatric Advanced clinical practitioners and Trainee Adult Advanced Clinical Practitioners.

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is one of the largest in England and has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the country, with a new £48 million Emergency Department built in April 2017. We are a pilot site for 111 first and changes to the management of initial assessment and our ambulatory streams means an extension of our team

The post holder will be undertaking a Student Advanced Practitioner (ACP) training programme. They will undertake a period of full or partial supervised practice that will support the completion of clinical competencies relevant to the Band 6 role in order to progress into a Band 7 Foundation Advanced Practitioner. They will be working towards becoming an integral member of the medical team working collaboratively with nursing and allied healthcare professionals undertaking advanced clinical practice that has traditionally been within the remit of junior medical staff with an appropriate level of supervision until deemed competent.
