Named Professional for Safeguarding Adult and Children

37.5 hours/ week Mon-Fri

 

The post holder will report to the Assistant Director of Acute Services providing clear lines of communication and accountability to the Director of Operations and Chief Executive. Assisting the Executive Safeguarding Lead (Director of Operations) with developing and maintaining high professional and service user standards across NAViGO

The post holder will provide the strategic lead on all aspects of NAViGO CIC contribution to safeguarding adults, children and young people, Prevent, Domestic Abuse , Pipot Agenda, ensuring that NAViGO meets its statutory responsibilities. Also strategic lead with Safeguarding legislation and its implementation within Navigo and its partner organisations. Contribute to the design and implementation of the Safeguarding Adults and Children Strategy in conjunction with the Head of Safeguarding and wider safeguarding team within the CCG and provide safeguarding adult and children supervision, advice and support around safeguarding issues

If applying you will have proven excellent communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders at senior level and skills in conveying complex concepts utilising a variety of mediums

You will have the ability to build relationships to effectively work with stakeholders and draw on networking opportunities to build the agenda

You will be Educated to Degree level in Social Work or Nursing , ideally having a Masters level qualification, or prepared to undertake MA / MSc in Health and Social Care or related subject

You will be Registrant member of a professional body such as HCPC / NMC

 

Not exhaustive but we are looking for the following personal attributes:

Confirmed adaptability, flexibility and ability to cope with uncertainty and change

Proven ability to make decisions autonomously, when required, on difficult issues, working to tight and often changing timescales

Established ability to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations, with the aim of improving deliverables and compliance to policies

 

All positions are subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and medical clearance. Evidence of valid professional registration and appropriate DBS clearances will also be required where relevant. All posts will also be subject to successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.

 

Please note that all new employees joining NAViGO will be able to contribute to the NHS pension.

 

This post is classed as exempted for the purposes of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, even those convictions that are classed as spent must be declared on your application.
