Sheffield Children’s Hospital is one of only four independent specialist paediatric hospitals in the country. We provide dedicated healthcare for children and young people. Our aim is to be at the forefront of best practice in delivering high quality and integrated care to children and young people We are looking for an administrative officer to join our pharmacy team to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the department five days a week and in particular to work closely with the Director of Pharmacy. You will co-ordinate information and provide administration and clerical support in order to facilitate the effective running of the department. This will include diary management, comprehensive management of data such as annual leave, sickness and attendance reports on behalf of pharmacy staff, filing, minute taking and organising the daily workload of the Director to ensure maximum efficiency It is essential that you have RSA III Typing/ Word Processing or equivalent. NVQ4/BTECin Business Administration or equivalent and GCSE in English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above. You will be proficient in the use of a wide range of IT packages, have experience of organising and prioritising diaries and schedules, and experience of organising and taking minutes in meetings. You will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision and on your own initiative to achieve deadlines.

30 hours per week over 5 days.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
