We are delighted to announce that we have been rated as a “Good” organisation by CQC and our Adults Services were rated ‘Outstanding’ for caring.

Are you an experienced nurse who is looking for the next challenge? Do you have a passion for public health nursing and working with a range of communities to improve health inequalities? Are you tired of shift work and would like to work set days Monday to Friday?

If the answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for someone who aspires to work in a leadership role and wants to make a real difference to people affected by, or at risk of TB.

The TB Service is as much about public health as it is about clinical and nursing care which covers all age groups. It embraces the core elements of public health nursing: inequalities, prevention and health protection across the entire population, as well as requiring sound knowledge of the physical aspects of the disease and the emotional, psychological and social impact on individuals, their families and friends.

Excellent communication skills are essential to this role and you will enjoy working with adults, young people and children from diverse communities and backgrounds. As someone with outstanding organisational skills you will provide outpatient clinics, both in the community and hospital setting, working closely with other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also provide care in patients' homes.

The role includes contact tracing and screening, mantoux testing, BCG immunisation and supervision of treatment, including directly observed therapy.

You must be a registered nurse with excellent communication skills and enjoy using your initiative and providing support to colleagues within the team. Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

As this is a community post you will work across the Leeds district. You must have a valid driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle.
