Part time 30 hours per week

Gorseinon hospital is a 36, bedded Community Rehabilitation Facility situated in the heart of a village. The hospital supports the residents of Swansea in recovery and rehabilitation following an acute admission to hospital. We work within an enabling ethos where the primary goal is to help the patient regain independence and return home as functional as possible.

An exciting opportunity has arising for a Registered Nurse with an interest in supporting older adults to join our team on West Ward Gorseinon Hospital. We have a committed team of doctors, nurse’s occupational therapists, physiotherapists and pharmacy staff who works in collaboration for the best outcomes for our patients. We also have close links with our community Reablement team.

Both experienced and newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply for this post. A genuine interest and commitment to promoting and monitoring standards of care in line with Health Board (HB) policies and procedures is essential. The registered nurse will work as part of the team support the Ward Manager in ensuring that a high quality service is delivered.

We will offer you the opportunity to gain experience, develop your nursing skills, clinical supervision and support for your NMC revalidation. We are looking to reduce readmissions to the acute hospitals by enhancing the clinical skills of our nursing workforce. Working autonomously is of paramount importance within this setting as we are nurse led out of hours with no medical practitioner on site at the these times.
