CARDIO-RESPIRATORY DEPARTMENT

 

 

 

 

Cardiographer

 

Band 3

 

Hours – 22.5 hours per week

 

Permanent

 

An opportunity has arisen for a substantive position to support the Cardiology and Respiratory services at both the BRI and St Luke’s hospital sites.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Cardiographer to join our team. You should be competent to undertake basic cardiac diagnostic procedures such as ECG, ambulatory monitoring and Spirometry. You should hold a professional qualification such as SCST Certificate of Electrocardiography or ARTP Certificate in Spirometry.

 

Consideration will be given to those who can demonstrate a commitment to healthcare science and experience of caring for patients. In this case successful candidates will be paid as a trainee Cardiographer, as per Annexe 21 of the Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

 

Key requirements and qualities

- Experience of working in a busy mulita-disciplinary team

- Able to work under pressure and to cope with distressing/difficult situations

- Good level of literacy and numeracy

- Healthcare related NVQ qualification or equivalent

- Basic Life support skills

- Experience of ECG and spirometry
