As part of this commitment we now have a vacancy for a Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusionto join our vibrant and committed team. If you are an experienced professional with a passion for the equality agenda, and if you want to want to make a tangible difference to our ambitious cultural plans, we’d like to hear from you. We are not looking for status quo so we need a colleague who is bold and driven, and who understands the importance of taking our diversity and inclusion work beyond the realm of our legal duties under the Equalities Act and in to the heart of our organisation.

You’ll report to the Executive Director of People and Culture and work closely with a supportive team to help make SWAST a more inclusive place to work. You will put your experience, knowledge and skills to use in driving and embedding change and will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to positively influence the Trust’s culture and our ability to continually improve and refine our service and our patient care.

Geographically we are the largest ambulance service in the country, covering one fifth of the country including some of its most beautiful and life enriching locations. The post will be based in Exeter with travel across the trust site in the South West of the UK. We believe that this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference to the work of this amazing organisation.
