In May 2020, King’s Mill Hospital, where 90% of our services are based, was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and is the only Outstanding hospital in the East Midlands. Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service (NHIS) provides Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICT) across the NHS and local health community. Providing expertise and capability, effectively delivering national and local ICT requirements and continually researching and innovating in an effort to provide technologies that enable our customers to do things better or do better things.

An opportunity has arisen within the Project Implementation and Training Team for a highly motivated, experienced individual to join a team involved in the development of a comprehensive and flexible Project Implementation & Training Programme to support the Health Community. This role is an 18 month secondment / fixed term contract. Project Implementation and Training will primarily be focused on the delivery and support of Clinical Systems although there may be a requirement to deliver , Microsoft Office applications and other inhouse products.

We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, to support project activities and deliver training packages. The post holder will work across a variety of care settings including the Acute Hospitals, GP practices and Community Services, so the ability to work flexibly throughout a variety of environments is an essential requirement of the post.

It is essential that the post holder has a good working knowledge of IT Technologies/ Microsoft Windows and Office Applications, to a user expert level and hold the ECDL Advanced qualification, MOST Expert or equivalent ICT qualification.

A minimum of 1 year working in a Training/Implementation environment is also essential, along with the ability to travel throughout the Nottinghamshire health community and deliver training at the point of need.
