Viaduct Care is the GP Federation of Stockport, formed by all Stockport GP practices. Our aim is to find innovative solutions to the challenges currently faced by the NHS, while at the same time protecting the interests of general practice and ensuring that patients continue to receive the very best care locally.

Our Stockport Integrated Pharmacy Service (SIPS) delivers pharmaceutical and clinical advice and support to a designated group of GP practices. Liaising with patients, general practitioners, practice staff, other primary health care team staff, staff and partner organisations, our aim is to ensure that patients benefit from the most appropriate, safe and cost effective prescribing.

We are currently looking for an Operational Lead to join our team within Viaduct Care. As Operational Lead you will have a pivotal role to play in leading the operational delivery and contribution to the development of Stockport’s Integrated Pharmacy Service (SIPS). You will be responsible for leading, monitoring and reviewing programmes of work within the service, with a strong focus on performance improvement, innovation and change management.

As Operational Lead you will work with key stakeholders to review and ensure there is sufficient capacity available to meet service requirements, be proactive in identifying new ways of working and be aware of all potential developments within the service to meet the evolving picture across primary care.

In addition, you will provide support and advice to deliver and ensure continuous improvement within the service and promote the uptake of best practice initiatives to promote excellence. Including:

• Performance management and Service improvement
• Demand and capacity management
• Strategy, process and organisational transformation/redesign
• Quality , safety and effectiveness of the service
• Financial management and control
• Leadership, engagement and ownership
• Sustainable solutions
