More than your usual ward nurse opportunity, this role is essential first line defense in the fight against COVID-19. Perfect hours if you need to work days due to your personal responsibilities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our COVID-19 screening POD team based across RPH and CDH.

The team performs swabbing on staff and patients in a drive through clinic.

Your role will include scheduling of appointments via telephone with staff, answering calls, booking tests onto quadramed, performing swabbing, maintaining adequate records and reporting of results to staff and managers.

The shifts at CDH are 8-4pm Sat-Wed.
The shifts at RPH are 8.30-4.30pm 7 days per week.

We require enthusiastic individuals who are organised, methodical and able to use their own initiative. In addition you must have-

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience with hospital IT systems
• Flexibility to work across both sites although you will be based at one site predominantly.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as make decisions autonomously.
• Be prepared to be on your feet all day, working outdoors - this is not your usual ward based role

If you are successful in obtaining a position with our Trust which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. As a registered body with the DBS, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will conduct the administration of this application on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment or over 3 months. Currently the charges made by the Disclosure and Barring Service are - Standard DBS check £30.20 and Enhanced DBS check £48.20. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered.
