We are looking for well-motivated, enthusiastic HCPC registered BMS to join our team. For newly qualified BMS there is support for completion of the specialist portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to work as required at any of the 3 laboratory sites. Following suitable training you will be expected to participate in the 24/7 working pattern and rotate through the various sections of the department.

The department will consider trainee BMS for this post.

The department offers one of the largest Clinical Chemistry and Immunology repertoires in the UK, currently receiving over 3,500 samples each day and has fully automated analytical equipment. Specialist assays are offered on both a regional and supra-regional basis for special proteins, steroid and protein hormones, porphyrins, trace metals, molecular diagnostics, metabolic assays and Immunology tests.

The department also hosts the All Wales Antenatal and Newborn screening services.

The department actively encourages participation in CPD to develop skills that will assist you in the pursuit of your career ambitions and further education may be supported where relevant.
