Sleep & Ventilation Clinical Fellow

Fixed Term 12 Months Commencing November 2020

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University Hospital of North Midlands to join our team of Respiratory Consultants working at our Royal Stoke and County sites.

The successful candidates will complement the expertise of the 21 Respiratory Consultants, 10 SpRs, 2 NIHR recognised academic fellow posts, and 27 Clinical Nurse Specialists working across the speciality. The department provides both an inpatient, outpatient and day case Sleep & Ventilation Service, Interstitial Lung Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Lung Cancer, Pleural Procedures and General Respiratory services across both our sites.

The Respiratory Department is the regional centre for interstitial lung disease and non-invasive ventilation. The Respiratory Department consists of 4 Respiratory Wards with 111 inpatient beds, including a 26 bedded Acute Lung Unit with 16 NIV beds, 2 Respiratory Physiology Departments over 2 sites offering a range of lung function tests.

  • Weaning from invasive Ventilation unit
  • Recognised MND Centre of excellence
