NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG is a dynamic, clinically-led membership organisation made up of 130 member practices serving citizens, patients and carers across Nottinghamshire.

The CCG is looking to recruit an Evidence and Evaluation Manager to join the Research and Evidence Team on a fixed term contract or secondment to cover the secondment of the existing post holder. The post is for 6 months with the potential to extend for a further 3-6 months. This role supports the CCG in its role as Strategic Commissioner for the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, with evidence informed, value-based commissioning.

The post holder will lead on knowledge mobilisation to ensure available knowledge from research and other evidence sources is actively used to inform commissioning decisions. The post holder will write and present evidence briefings and support commissioners to find, understand and utilise evidence as part of business processes. The post holder will also deliver evidence training and will act as a key link to the Library and Knowledge Service promoting the service within the CCG. They will also provide evaluation expertise to the organisation.

Key areas of work during the secondment will include providing evidence support to the CCG’s Clinical Design Authority, Prioritisation and Investment Committee, Service Planning Group and the Integrated Care System’s Population Health Management Approach.
We are seeking applicants with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of key evidence sources, expert critical appraisal skills and knowledge and understanding of evaluation methodology.

We are looking for an individual with the expert knowledge and confidence to independently find and utilise evidence, an effective communicator with current or recent experience of working with or in health and care systems.
