The role

Working in partnership with managers and others, your role will be to support the governance and administrative functions of the directorate of Unplanned and Intermediate Care.

The role will be varied, supporting managers to ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed which will require interaction with teams. The successful applicant will be reliable and provide a senior confidential, quality administration to the service, deal with correspondence and the effective dissemination of information; facilitate service meetings, including minute taking, recording attendance and timely dissemination of agendas/papers. The successful applicant will also ensure the smooth running of the administration staff ensuring all areas are covered daily and regularly review work allocation systems with the Administration Leads/Team Managers/Service Managers/Clinical Team to ensure that the administration team works efficiently and effectively.

The candidate will receive and deal with telephone enquiries and referrals from patients, the public, staff, and other Health Care Providers; therefore, to come and join our team you will need to have a sensitive manner and excellent communication skills.

You will need to be highly motivated, be a team player and be able to prioritise your workload.

You will promote a culture of quality improvement and innovation to ensure the service provides excellent patient and colleague experience.

A full driving license and access to a vehicle is required as there may be occasional opportunities to support clinical colleagues with patient care following full training and support.

The post will require the relevant disclosure check with the Disclosure & Barring Service.
