Principal Pharmacist 8b (Subject to banding)

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our Principal Pharmacist team in our friendly department. 

We are looking for someone to provide pharmacy leadership to our Women’s and Children’s and Digestive Diseases Clinical Business Units which includes managing the pharmaceutical support to our new midwifery led unit and supporting the development of 7 day services in line with our pharmacy transformation plan 

In addition to being the leader for the Women’s and Children’s and Digestive Diseases Clinical Business Units the post holder will work as a team with another Principal Pharmacist to provide cross cover and gain broad experience. 

Our pharmacy department has received significant investment to provide 7 day services and move forward with the roll out of EPMA as a digital exemplar.

We expect our successful applicant to have significant clinical experience in one or more of the clinical areas and have a proven track record of managing projects to successful completion.

Our pharmacy department provides service from both our Warrington and Halton sites. Our Trust is close to the motorway network and easily commutable from Manchester and Liverpool

Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
