Contract Manager

30 hours - 1 permanent post

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to be part of our Business Development Team at Locala. You will have strong leadership skills and significant experience of contract management.

The post holder will play a key role in delivering a robust contracting function, developing and maintaining appropriate contract governance, ensuring signed contracts are in place for all services, negotiating and developing contracts and undertaking contract management and reporting. In addition you will provide project management support and specialist advice for a designated portfolio of contracts, taking the day to day lead in contract negotiation, monitoring and management for those services.

You will have responsibility for the implementation of a governance framework to underpin all aspects of contract management and negotiation of Locala contracts. As a key member of the Business Development team you will help contribute to business cases and tenders and will support contract negotiation and mobilisation of contracts secured. You will work closely with the Business Development, Finance and Procurement Teams as well as the Business and Service Managers.

The successful candidate will have well developed communication skills to liaise at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners. You will have excellent negotiation / influencing skills, a willingness to learn and be able to demonstrate that you can lead and motivate others. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential to ensure that all contract and administrative processes are undertaken efficiently, effectively and to a high standard. Time management skills are crucial as you will need to balance the demands of a busy workload.
