Working hours:37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and efficient Executive Personal Assistant to provide a first class, efficient and effective service to the Executive Director(s) at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with previous experience of working in a demanding and challenging personal assistant/ administrative role at a senior level.

You will have the ability to be flexible, possess excellent organisational, secretarial and communication skills and have previous experience minute taking at senior level meetings and have undertaken diary management. You must have the ability to proactively manage their diaries and inboxes with utmost discretion and anticipating their needs.

You will have excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, with patients and external contacts.

The ability to prioritise constantly changing workloads is a must, as is the need to act on your own initiative. An understanding of the need for discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting are essential.

What this Opportunity means:

The successful applicant will undertake their required roles and responsibilities alongside the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the Directors’ Office to enhance business efficiency, quality and flexibility of its operations.

The post holder will be competent in using Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The Executive Personal Assistant and Administrative team is a professional, friendly and supportive working environment and all members of the team are expected to follow the Trust’s Values and Behavioual Standards.

A comprenhensive internal induction will be provided upon appointment within the Executive Office.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large district General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital. The Trust has almost 4,000 staff and provides a range of medical services to more than 445,000 patients per year from areas covering Western Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston and North Wales.

If subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975, then a disclosure submission will be made to the Disclosure & Barring service (formerly CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. The cost of the DBS application is £28 (standard) or £45 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
