We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Audit Lead to join our Clinical Governance department located at our Head Office in Central London, NW1 4LJ (Close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).

Job Profile

As Clinical Audit Lead you will be responsible for working with a range of senior health care professionals to develop, co-ordinate and lead clinical audit, and associated quality improvement across the Clinic in order to continuously improve clinical effectiveness and the quality of care delivery to patients.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Salary: The salary for this role is competitive, and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice on all aspects of the clinical audit cycle to clinicians and clinical teams in order to support them to audit clinical practice against national standards, guidelines, local policies, improvement plans and patient feedback.
  • Lead on the development of the London Clinic’s clinical audit and effectiveness programme, including developing systems for prioritising audit. 
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of associated systems, database and processes for clinical audit and effectiveness and associated quality improvement in the Clinic ensuring that systems are formal and robust and has the ability to provide reports when required.
  • Support and facilitate the maintenance and development of clinical audit tools.

Skills & Experience

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of clinical governance, risk, patient safety, quality and clinical standards, gained through a combination of in depth practical experience and postgraduate study.
  • Experience of implementing clinical audit processes, procedures, methodologies plus statistical techniques, acquired through training, experience to degree level equivalent.
  • Previous proven experience of working in Clinical Governance, Quality, Audit or Risk.
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical governance policy and Quality as well as the ability to develop policies.
