The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at Crawley Hospital is looking to expand its bank pool of experienced Registered Nurses.

We are looking for appropriately skilled staff to cover temporary nursing shortages in the UTC, providing flexible cover. Various shift options are available, and our bank staff are paid weekly.

The role of a Bank Staff Nurse is to support in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of high quality nursing care, working as part of a multidisciplinary team of nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants and other health professionals. We are seeking compassionate Registered Nurses with experience of working within an Emergency/Urgent Care/Acute Care setting and evidence of consolidation of nursing skills. You will be expected to assess and prioritise all patients presenting to the unit whilst ensuring safe, efficient, and effective treatment of all patients within a predefined target time of arrival to the unit.

To be successful in your application you will need to demonstrate your knowledge and your dedication to high standards of patient care. You must be a team player with excellent communication skills and have the ability to work using your own initiative as well as part of the wider team.

The UTC provides urgent and unscheduled care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a fully integrated ambulatory primary care service for the Crawley population and surrounding communities. There is also a designated paediatric and adolescent area within the UTC and 24/7 mental health liaison service cover. The unit has recently been remodelled and redesigned to provide a modern clinical environment that is responsive to both staff and patient needs.
