An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Imaging Department, Bristol Eye Hospital.

We are looking for two Band 4, Ophthalmic Imaging Assistant The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the ophthalmic imaging and outpatient teams for the provision and overall smooth running of our clinical services.

This will involve data entry, eyesight testing, ophthalmic imaging (including OCT scans and widefield photos) as well as supporting clinical research and attending peripheral sites.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for preparing our patients and undertaking their investigations, performing a range of basic imaging tests and procedures as well as providing the reports and baseline evaluations for review by other clinical staff.

After the necessary training and induction, the post-holder will be able to prioritise and plan their own workload and have the ability to work independently as well as working closely with other members of the team.

In summary, the post-holder will be contributing to the provision of a high standard of ophthalmic and personal care ensuring the smooth running of our clinics.
