Café Assistant

 

20 hrs per week -Flexible hours between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday - Sunday

You will be part of a busy team at Café Blue based within Grimsby Garden Centre

You will be supporting in the day-to-day operation, working both front of house serving customers, and in the kitchen assisting the Chef and other team members.

You will contribute to the success of the Café by:

  • Giving customers’ excellent and efficient service.
  • Serving well-presented, high quality food and beverages.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment and ensuring displays are fully stocked and well presented.
  • Assisting the Chef in the general maintenance of a clean and tidy kitchen area and all other aspects of kitchen service.
  • Accepting deliveries from suppliers/stock rotation of goods etc.
  • Efficiently operating the till, handling cash and card payments.

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following personal attributes:

  • Proven experience of working front of house within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude

 

All positions are subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and medical clearance. Evidence of valid professional registration and appropriate DBS clearances will also be required where relevant. All posts will also be subject to successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.

 

This post is classed as exempted for the purposes of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, even those convictions that are classed as spent must be declared on your application.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
