Cleaners needed Urgently!

We are looking for people to help increase the number of Domestic cleaning staff across the wards within The Pennine NHS Trust.

The Pennine NHS Foundation Trust is part of the Northern Care Alliance and is the largest teaching Trust in the England. They provided a range of hospital and community healthcare services to more than 1 million people across Salford, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, North Manchester and surrounding areas.

They need your help whether you have experience as a cleaner or have had cleaning responsibilities as part of your role. If you would like to help the fight against COVID-19 we have a possible role for you.

We have a number of roles starting ASAP needed for roughly 6 months Domestic Cleaner

  • North Manchester General Hospital

 

This role will involve working directly on COVID-19 wards

The working hours for this role are across Monday – Sunday either 7.00 – 15.00 or 15.00 – 22.00 – flexibility is essential along with being able to work any day of the week.

This is a Band 2 role and the hourly pay is £9.21 an hour Mon-Fri, with an increased pay rate on Saturdays £12.98 and Sundays £16.85.

 

This roles duties & responsibilities include: -

  • To provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and colleagues
  • Keeping the ward clean and tidy and reporting any faults
  • Ensuring all equipment used is fully maintained, cleaned and stored appropriately
  • To use resources efficiently and effectively for each cleaning task.

 

The key skills and knowledge they are looking for: -

  • Cleaning experience (desirable, not essential)
  • Knowledge of COSHH (desirable, not essential)
  • Knowledge of colour coding system (desirable, not essential)
  • Both written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Work as part of a team
  • Take responsibility for their own work
  • Be able to work unsupervised
