In May 2020, King’s Mill Hospital, where 90% of our services are based, was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and is the only Outstanding hospital in the East Midlands. An exciting leadership opportunity at band 7 has arisen within our 13 bedded Critical Care Unit. The vacancy is a 6 month secondment to support further COVID surge.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust is an active member of the East-Midlands Critical Care Network (EMCCN) and the Critical Care Unit (CCU) contributes to the integrated network wide service for critically ill patients requiring intensive therapy.

The unit has a team of over 100 staff which ensure safe and effective care to patients. Critical Care is a dynamic work environment and is constantly changing hence we are looking for someone who will adapt to the environment and the challenges it presents. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and challenge convention

You must have:

  • Evidence of Clinical competence at CC3N national level, with completion at level 3 and working towards level 4.
  • A post grad certificate in Critical Care or working towards.
  • A recognised Teaching qualification.
  • Significant experience in the Critical Care environment .
  • Portfolio evidence to demonstrate service improvement / development.

Successfully short listed candidates will be required to complete a 10 minute presentation followed by a formal interview.
