We are currently looking to recruit an innovative, enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse within Endourology . The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership and professional development for the nursing team within the Endourology Department
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. You will provide expert advice and support to the whole multidisciplinary team in caring for patients. You will be expected to maintain high standards of care at all times . At a time when service needs are continually changing and developing the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the service we deliver meets the needs of our patients
The Endourology Department is a very diverse area which includes a operating theatre as well as several investigation areas . It is an extremely busy, fast paced unit and the needs of the patients are very varied. We are ideally looking for a candidate who has previous theatre experience but will consider applications from candidates who have worked in a similar setting and have experience in working in a fast paced outpatient investigation setting . In addition the ideal candidate will have experience in leadership, mentoring, teaching and developing junior staff
There may be a requirement over time that the successful candidate develops their role to include training to become a nurse cystoscopist. We already have nurse cystoscopists within the department and it is likely in the future that we will need to expand this service
