This is a substantive appointment for a Speciality Doctor (Middle-Grade)

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographic which encompasses the Furness Peninsula, the city of Lancaster and the Lake District. Paediatric Services are provided on two main sites; at Furness General Hospital and Royal Lancaster Infirmary

The post is based in the Paediatric Department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary and involves day to day care of patients on the Children’s Ward, Neonatal Level 2 Unit and attendance at clinics in the acute hospital setting.

You will be required to participate in the 1:8 rota which includes night duties, twilight shifts and weekends.

The Paediatric Unit consists of 23 in-patient beds, including 2 High Dependency beds. There is also a busy Paediatric Assessment Unit incorporated as part of the Paediatric Unit. Patients under surgical consultants are jointly admitted under a Consultant Paediatrician.

All applicants must hold full GMC registration with a licence to practice
