£38,890 - £44,503 per annum

Acute Cardiac Services at City hospital consists of a 12 bedded female CCU and a 20 bedded male CCU. We also have 2 Cardiac Catheterisation labs serving both acute and elective patients. We have an excellent 24/7 Primary PCI service.

In addition to the 2 wards we also have a Cardiology Day Case unit for our elective patients, serving up to 12 patients a day.

Acute Cardiac Services is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who has excellent values, interpersonal and communication skills and is highly motivated to drive forward the day to day management of our Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Cardiology Day Case Unit, to cover for 11 months maternity leave from December 2020.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, leadership and management ability with strong focus on clinical governance. A team player with the ability to work collaboratively and in support of Matron, existing Senior Sister, Consultant and Service Management team within Acute Cardiac Services is essential in continuing the development of clinical practice, services and environment.

As a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse you will be approachable and highly motivated and thrive in working within a fast paced environment and problem solving and coordination experience is an essential skill. You will have direct line management responsibilities for an agreed portfolio and will provide robust management across Acute Cardiac Services.

You will be expected to manage the area with high standards and improve clinical pathways for patients based on up to date evidence based practice. The ideal candidate should be able to work under pressure and provide clinical and professional leadership and managerial direction to nursing and non-nursing teams within Acute Cardiac Services.
