Southern Health is one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health, adult and child community health and learning disabilities.


This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who can work within an integrated multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care and rehabilitation to a population within the Havant, Waterlooville and Hayling Island area. 

You will clinically lead and manage a team of Community Occupational Therapists offering a rehabilitation service to patients with wide range of functional and rehabilitative needs including hospital avoidance; long term conditions and supporting discharges from acute setting.  You should have a high level of ability in clinical assessment and clinical reasoning skills.

You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and will need to be confident and assertive with excellent personal skills and have the ability to demonstrate these in a pressurised environment.  Being able to demonstrate ability to lead a team through change is desirable in order lead through service development and integration as part of the 10 year NHS Plan. 

You will be Educated to Degree or Diploma level in Occupational Therapy and hold HCPC registration. Ideally the successful applicant will be proficient using IT systems.

Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving license is essential.

Excellent CPD opportunities, including structured supervision, peer support groups and appraisal systems are in place.  You will be take part in supervision and appraisals of staff and students within the Occupational Therapy team.
