We are seeking an experienced dynamic and forward thinking individual to join our multi professional team as a Medical Secretary within the Children’s Resource Centre for a FTC of 12 months maternity cover.

 

The Children’s Resource Centre houses the acute paediatric outpatient clinics and the child development team from the community.

 

The successful candidate will join an established team of eight medical secretaries on the Darent Valley hospital site who provide a secretarial service to 11 Consultant Paediatricians as well as 13 Specialist Visiting Consultant Paediatricians and other members of the team, caring for children and their families. In addition we have one medical secretary and one medical typist who works from the Queen Mary’s hospital site in Sidcup.

 

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • Substantial medical secretarial experience within an acute health care setting
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable in working patterns
  • Experience of dealing with the public
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent computer skills

Hours of work are to be agreed by the line manager to meet the needs of the service.
