The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Academy Executive are looking for a highly motivated Finance Analyst to join the Finance and Business Support team.

The Finance Analyst is expected to:

  • assist the Finance and Contracts Manager in managing the finances on the schemes and programmes that form part of the NIHR training and fellowship portfolio

  • provide complex financial analysis using the NIHR Academy Research Management Systems in order to support in year financial monitoring and performance

  • support the provision of month end financial reports and quarterly returns

  • support the Finance and Contracts Manager in the costing of business cases

The NIHR Academy plays a pivotal role in attracting, training and supporting the best researchers and complements the additional NIHR investment in world-class research facilities and a skilled research workforce.

The NIHR Academy Executive is hosted by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) and delivers the work of the NIHR Academy, leading on policy, strategy and delivery in respect of academic training in England and working closely with other NIHR centres and the Science Research and Evidence (SRE) Directorate at the DHSC.

You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.
