Are you looking for an interesting and varied community adult Speech and Language Therapy post? Are you looking for an opportunity to innovate and contribute to service development?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 in our Maximising Independence Team. We are looking for a skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist who would like to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in this vibrant area of London, based near Clapham Junction. We provide person centered intervention to meet the diverse needs of the population in Wandsworth, supporting communication and swallowing needs, particularly people living with dementia.

The post holder will provide leadership, both clinical and managerial, patient care and ensure quality standards. You will work closely with other band 7's providing professional leadership and management to the wider MDT. There will be a strong emphasis on service improvement and multidisciplinary working. The MDT includes physiotherapists, occupational therapist, rehabilitation assistants, administrative team, as well as nursing teams, Complex Care Team and Care Home In-Reach Team, amongst others

As we restore services following Covid-19, there will be opportunities to innovate and develop the future of Speech and Language Therapy provision in Wandsworth. We plan to continue building on the success of introduction of Telehealth, remote student placements and support in care homes. Therefore an interest in improvement projects, supporting people living with dementia and care homes would be desirable.
