In partnership with NHS Wales organisations, the NHS Wales Informatics Service (NWIS) delivers over 70 national information and technology services needed for modern patient care. Integration and co-operation between health organisations is a key tenet of healthcare policy, along with a commitment to avoid duplication and ‘do things once for Wales’.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Manager to join our Service Transformation team. Working as part of the programme, the post holder will be responsible for delivering specified projects that support the current Digital Health and Social Care Strategy - Informed Health and Care. Whilst there are a wide range of projects within this team, it is envisaged this role will be involved in the following projects:

  • Test, Trace and Protect implementation
  • Welsh Laboratory Information Management System upgrade.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of small national projects or complex work streams; ensuring that products are delivered to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and quality.

This is an excellent opportunity for those with project management skills wishing to work at the National level or who aspire to become a National Project Manager.

Previous NHS and IM&T Project experience together with knowledge of PRINCE2 are required for this post.

Above all, we will be looking for the results driven approach, and the motivation necessary to meet the service needs of the organisation.
