Physiotherapy Technical Instructor

Acute Medicine - Leicester Royal Infirmary

Band 3 / 30 hours per week

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a multidisciplinary team.

You will be working on the acute medical wards at Leicester Royal Infirmary with patients who have a variety of medical conditions. You will be working alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, assessing and treating patients with mobility problems to plan safe discharge from hospital.

This post requires a high level of personal responsibility and therefore we are looking for a person with a mature outlook, good communication skills, organisational skills and an ability to use their initiative. You will need to be motivated, organised and able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You will need to have had experience of working with a variety of different people. The ability to use computers is desirable in this post, as some administrative and clerical duties are involved.

You will need to have either experience working within a health care setting and ideally worked as a therapy assistant. You must have a clear understanding of the role of Physiotherapy.

You will receive comprehensive trust and service induction, regular supervision and annual appraisal and a training programme to support your development.

We have a well-established in-service training programme and a commitment to continuing professional development.

Post holders will work their core hours Monday to Friday but will also be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a roster system.
