An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our therapies team at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH NHSFT).

We welcome applications from candidates who are due to qualify this year, newly qualified or existing band 5 Physiotherapists, to join our friendly team of therapists.

We offer rotations of six months, with the opportunity to experience working in acute, rehabilitation, inpatient, and outpatient settings:

  • General Medicine
  • Critical care and surgery
  • Cardiorespiratory medicine
  • Hyper-acute/acute stroke unit
  • Senior Adult Medical Service (SAMS)
  • Musculoskeletal outpatients
  • Trauma orthopaedics
  • Elective orthopaedics
  • The Bradley Unit, a regional 20 bedded neurorehabilitation unit based in Woking
  • Inpatient and outpatient paediatrics
  • Stroke Early Supported Discharge (community-based with office at Milford Hospital)

Within each rotation you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team and external multi-agencies.

The therapy teams at ASPH are integrated, enabling therapists to work collaboratively to deliver excellent patient care and experience.

There is an established formal supervision and appraisal process and robust in-house training programme within each specialist area, which provides opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills and progress your career.

ASPH offers a seven day service across some specialities. You will be expected to participate in seven day working as per service requirements. The rota system for weekend working will be dependent on your rotational area. Once you have attended a two day, in-house on call course, you will participate in the out of hours on-call respiratory rota.
