STAFF NURSE

ACUTE MEDICAL UNIT (AMU) & SHORT STAY UNIT (SSU)

£24,907 - £30,615 per annum/pro rata (AfC Band 5)

37.5 hours per week – PERMANENT

We are looking for highly motivated nurses who are passionate about delivering high standards of care alongside a new senior leadership team who aim to lead the way in Acute Medicine

You must have a positive attitude to the ever changing environment of Acute Medicine and Nursing and be willing to keep your knowledge and skills up to date

AMU is a 45 bedded area that receives patients via ED and GP services who are undifferentiated and of high acuity, needing a high level of medical, physical and emotional support. AMU has an average turnover of 45 patients per day

Short Stay Unit is a 26 bedded area that offers an in- reach service to the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) This is an invaluable service for the rapid assessment and discharge of patients. In a monthly period there was an average turnover of 340 patients most of which were discharged within 24-48 hours

SSU is in the process of implementing an exciting new opportunity for criteria led discharge

Both units have received excellence awards in recognition of their hard work and dedication

We are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals to be part of an innovative, multidisciplinary team involved in Acute Medicine. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of admission and discharge processes to ensure effective patient flow.

We can offer posts on both AMU and SSU and rotational posts are available

Standard Check: £23.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment.

Enhanced Check: £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
