Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Location: Children’s Centre, Dewsbury & District Hospital

Band 6

Hours: 22.5 (can be flexible/less hours)

Job type: Temporary 10 months Mat leave cover

An opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team on a temporary basis to cover mat leave. Based at the Children’s Centre, Dewsbury & District Hospital. The Occupational Therapists are an integral part of the multi-disciplinary Paediatric Therapy team, and although based at the Children’s Centre, the post also involves working in local schools/ nurseries, and the client’s home. The caseload is varied and you will work closely with a variety of experienced Therapists, within a friendly, supportive and well established team, as well as liaising with family members and other professionals/agencies.

We are looking to recruit a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience of working with children between 0 and 16 years, many of whom have complex needs and attend either mainstream or special school/nursery. The post holder must have excellent communication and organisational skills, and must be able to operate as a member of a team.
