If you have answered yes then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We're looking for experienced and enthusiastic practitioners to join our team in Hull and Humberside.

What's the job?
With our Partners, Community Links, we deliver we deliver transformational Liaison and Diversion services in police custody suites, courts and community. We offer support for people with a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety and depression, psychosis, alcohol and substance misuse, complex needs and personality disorder. You'll be helping us provide a seamless service to ensure the most vulnerable get the support and signposting they need.

The service aim is to provide holistic care to our service users, whilst helping to address the factors that increase their risk to re-offend. The environment can be fast paced and challenging.

Your duties will include:
. conducting screening to identify and implement appropriate interventions within a custody and community setting
. providing advice and guidance to custody staff regarding the care of the detainee whilst in police custody
. making appropriate referrals to support services in the area
The post holders will be required to work from Hull and Grimsby custody suites and across the region
Operating hours will be 8am to 6pm, Monday - Friday, 8am-4.30pm on the weekend. Staff will be required to work a 6 week shift pattern which covers the opening hours

Who are you?
You will need to be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a background in offender heath or similar and evidence of study at NVQ Level 3 and interest in a specialist area. You will need to be flexible, in order to deal with a wide variety of presenting conditions in multiple situations and bases, and able to work under pressure and in a challenging and fast-paced environment. You will need to be dynamic, innovative, and committed to delivering a safe and effective service and a high standard of healthcare. As you will be working with non-NHS professionals within your suite as well as colleagues across the region, highly effective communication skills are a must. You are empowered by working independently, but able to maintain a sense of team and your professional identity.

The role will involve working with individuals with complex needs and managing a caseload under the supervision of senior staff. The ability to undertake a structured assessment of an individual's needs is an advantage and play an active part in the development of a care package appropriate to their needs, delivering and signposting where necessary.

This role requires full police vetting, and it is essential that you can travel independently across the area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
