Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, Head of Department and Professional Clinical Lead for Clinical Psychology

Band 8c - 26 hours per week

Applications are invited for a highly experienced and dedicated Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist for the role of Head of Department and Professional Clinical Lead for Clinical Psychology based within Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The Clinical Psychology Service is a vibrant and expanding service, well respected within the Trust. The dimensions of the job description require you to have advanced clinical, strategic and organization skills to lead neuropsychologists across community and acute sites. You will also lead the newly established Clinical Health Psychology service for the Trust.

We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate highly specialist Neuropsychological experience across a wide range of diagnostic and treatment conditions and in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with proven clinical and leadership skills. You should have appropriate supervisory and management experience with a track record demonstrating skills and knowledge gained from working in varied clinical settings. You should demonstrate an ability to work innovatively and responsively to the ongoing challenges for the modern NHS.

You will be responsible for representing the Clinical Psychology aspects of patient care in various senior level and national forums and should have significant experience at this level of this strategic work.

We are also looking for an individual who has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with complex emotive subjects. We will require RAPPS registration and membership of the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychology. A record of research/publications is expected.
