Wards Covered: 80 St Stephens, Norwich

Contract Type: This contract is approximately for a duration of three months

Hours: Monday – Friday / 9:00am – 17:00pm

Pay Rates: Days: £19.38 per hour

Joining the team at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT) you will provide mental health and learning disability services across Norfolk and Suffolk. We have long-term placement opportunities available for Registered Community Nurse, Band 6 available at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust.

The work would be on a fixed term basis to support the existing staff within a busy mental health community setting.

Skills/Responsibilities:

To apply for this post, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Registered Community Mental Health Nurse
  • Have previous experience or working with young adults.
  • Have previous experience of providing assessments
  • Have previous experience contributing to and coordinating care plans
  • Have a sound understanding of safeguarding practice and principles
  • Have a positive approach to multi-agency working
  • Have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • A valid NMC Pin
  • The post holder will undertake the planning and delivery of direct patient care without direct supervision, ensuring continuity of practice.
  • Ensure that nursing practice is person centred and, as far as possible, promoting direct involvement of patients and carers in the development of the plan of care from admission to discharge.
  • Ensure that clinical practice is consistent with the Care Programme Approach.
  • Act as the named nurse for a group of patients with ultimate responsibility for providing an individualised plan of care for each patient.
  • Maintain a professional therapeutic relationship/boundary with patients, carers and colleagues.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of current ward, service Trust and NHS Professionals arrangements, operational policies, clinical objectives, procedures and overall philosophy and working in accordance with these.
  • Be aware of personal limitations and role boundaries.
