This post covers adult surgical and critical care and team leadership responsibilities. Are you an experienced Clinical Dietitian who is ready for an exciting challenge in your dietetic career?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, active team player with excellent communication skills and a proven record in adult nutritional support. As a key member of adult nutrition and dietetic service team, you will provide a high standard of service to the Critical Care Unit and surgical wards/units at Leicester Royal Infirmary

this equates to 0.6 wte (3 days/week). You will also provide clinical leadership as team leader and manage a team of 12 Dietitians based at Leicester Royal Infirmary, working across all 3 sites (Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital) this equates to 0.4wte (2days/week)

The Trust’s nutrition and dietetic service has a strong commitment to professional and personal development. There are well defined CPD and clinical supervision models in place within the service to support you. The service is also involved in pre-registration placements for student Dietitians undertaking a, b and c placements and you will be playing an active part. The UHL nutrition and dietetic service also has a commitment to training other health professionals, carers and patient groups which will provide the opportunity to develop your presentation skills.

We are a progressive service which actively contributes to the trust clinical governance and risk management agenda and has an established clinical audit programme which you will be encouraged to contribute to.
