Resuscitation Skills Simulation Practitioner 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, innovative Clinical Educator to join our forward-thinking team which has a strong reputation for the delivery of a high-quality service. This post will involve Resuscitation/Simulation and Clinical Skills duties as appropriate.

You will assist the service lead, developing, and delivering a wide range of clinically focused resuscitation, deteriorating patient and patient safety focused training programmes including Clinical simulation and Clinical Skills to all levels of staff in adult and paediatric areas. You will also support the implementation of resuscitation or deteriorating patient related national guidelines and targets, Trust wide audits, quality improvement activities and projects as well as maintain clinical visibility as part of your practice.

You will have excellent communication skills and provide expert advice to ensure the best evidence-based patient care. The ability to work on your own initiative, problem solve, prioritise your workload, manage projects and meet deadlines is essential.

It is essential that you either possess a resuscitation council approved (or ALSG approved) advanced life support (adult/ paediatric or both) qualification or have knowledge and experience in advanced life support practice and education

In addition, desirable requirements include being an instructor in any recognised Resuscitation Council approved course

This is an exciting opportunity for you to further develop your skills, knowledge, and teaching and learning in resuscitation, clinical skills and Simulation., You will be supported to develop your career as a practitioner and Instructor in a variety of opportunities e.g. medical emergencies, Advanced Life Support, multidisciplinary simulation events, national and local patient safety initiatives.

This post is based at Halton General Hospital, however the successful applicant will be required to work across all trust sites as required.

Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
