Are you a thoughtful and caring Band 6 Contraception & Sexual Health Nurse or an experienced Band 5 Contraception & Sexual Health Nurse and is now looking for a progression role based in the Chester area? Are you looking to join an NHS Health and Social Care partner which is striving to make positive changes? You will receive a salary between £31,365 - £37,890 which is agenda for change 20/21 and you will receive full NHS terms and conditions. We’ll provide you with access to a committed Learning and Development team, and we work closely with Universities and Health Education England to further your potential and support your progression.

As a Specialist Practitioner you are responsible for providing support, advice, information, education and health promotion to patients attending the sexual health department. This includes patients diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the health advisers provide support to other clinical staff with patients requiring more extensive support. Health advisers coordinate the management, delivery and follow up of positive results. Health advisers assess psychosocial needs and provide crisis support for patients with complex issues. Supporting patients with sensitive and complex issues makes the health adviser role challenging, varied and rewarding.

To be considered for the role we are looking for applicants who have their BASHH STIF qualification or have a desire to complete this. Additionally, you must have a driving licence; and have access to a car as you will be required to travel between our 8 sites.

Our services include providing free information and advice on all types of contraception and STI testing and treatment. Our service is confidential, non-judgemental and for people of all ages, genders and orientations.
