We are a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England and are looking for people to help us provide high quality services for the patients, carers and local communities that we serve.

We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us to do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Sussex Partnership.

Sussex Partnership is an equal opportunities employer, with a sincere commitment to our people’s health and emotional wellbeing and as such, we have signed the Time to Change pledge and provide a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme.

In addition, our workforce is currently under-represented by people from Black and Minority Ethnic and Disabled communities. We welcome applications from people of these communities as we want our workforce to reflect the communities we serve.

The Trust is committed to providing opportunities for flexible working.

Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated our services good, following their most recent inspection, and outstanding in the caring domain.

The Western Assertive Outreach Team based at the Bedale Centre is excited to be
advertising for a Nursing Associate role to join our established, friendly multidisciplinary team. We are based at the Bedale Centre in Bognor Regis and cover the Bognor, Chichester and Midhurst areas. Therefore the ability to travel is essential to this role.

We are looking for someone who has successfully completed their Nursing Associate
training.

The successful candidate will embrace the innovation and challenge of taking on a
new role within the team, be enthusiastic and committed to making a positive
difference to the lives of the people we care for.

The Nursing Associate will bring a breadth of knowledge and skills to the AOT,
working independently under the leadership of registered nurses, providing nursing
care and delivering all aspects of the nursing process.

This includes undertaking a full range of routine care tasks as directed by the
registered nurse and delivering care for patients who are experiencing severe and
enduring mental health problems often with complex physical health needs.

On starting your new position you will join the Preceptorship Academy programme
which includes study days, support and development opportunities. There will also
be openings to develop your career which may include a pathway to become a
registered nurse. This will be dependent on the trust supporting the development of
this training pathway.

Informal discussions are most welcome. Please contact Rachel Nightingale to
arrange.
