We're recruiting for a Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our Southampton Integrated COPD Team!

You will be supported in further developing your respiratory and rehabilitation skills. A background in complex disease management and respiratory care with some rehabilitation experience is ideal.

This is an interesting time in the NHS post Covid and we are looking at innovative new ways to provide our service. An exciting time to join a team as we make these developments and learn new ways of delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation and COPD care.

Full time position 37.5 hours per week

Job details 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Solent Pulmonary Rehabilitation aspect of the Southampton Integrated COPD Team. The team are integrated with University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and have close clinical links with the respiratory consultants and supported discharge team. They strive to deliver person centred COPD care throughout the patient pathway. This is a specialist respiratory team comprising of COPD Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Specialist Physiotherapists, psychologists and Exercise Instructors. The team has excellent support from a dedicated administration team to allow clinicians to focus on delivering clinical care.

The team are seeking a full time, motivated and dynamic Specialist Physiotherapist to deliver pulmonary rehabilitation, and individualised COPD care within Southampton City. Respiratory and Pulmonary Rehabilitation experience will be valuable to this role. You will need to have significant post registration experience and be able to undertake lone working/ autonomous work when required.

The post holder will work delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation and maintenance classes over the city of Southampton. This is the primary component of the role. The role also includes working in joint consultant clinic assisting in the management of complex COPD patients.

You will need access to a car with a valid driving licence for this position.
